Terms and Condition

These are the terms and conditions that are applicable to us.
This document is a full summary of Kiwiana Caravan rental conditions.

Booking Confirmation and Payment
To confirm booking  we require a deposit of $50.00 per rental. This can be paid by cash, cheque, or direct credit we do not have credit card facilities.

Period of hire is 12pm on day of pick up and 12pm drop off.
Rates are per calendar day basis. The day of pick up is counted as one day of the hire. The day its returned  is counted as the final day. If returned later than 12pm will be classed as another day and be charged accordingly. Early return of the caravan shall not entitle the hirer to any refund of the unused portion of the rental.

Bond
There is a refundable bond of $250.00. If the caravan is damaged and repair costs exceed the $250.00 bond then the hirer is liable for costs of damages up to $500.00.
The caravan may only be towed by the person/s in this agreement and only if that person holds a full drivers licence and is over the age of 25yrs.

Use of the Caravan
The hirer shall not sublet or hire the caravan to any other person. Tow the caravan, or permit it to be towed in circumstances that constitute an offence by the driver, which relates to towing or attempting to tow  with excess breath or blood alcohol or under the influence of drink or drugs.

Owners Obligations
The owner shall make sure the caravan is in a safe roadworthy condition, fixtures in the caravan are all in working order.

Hirer’s Obligations
If when the caravan is being rented and there is any damage to the inside or outside you must notify us within 24hrs, 03 6864796.
The hirer shall ensure that all care is taken towing and parking the caravan.
The hand brake  is properly released once connected to towing vehicle.
That all vents and windows are secure before towing.
The jockey wheel is retracted or folded up.
The caravan is locked and secure when not in use.
Smoking is not permitted in the caravan . Any evidence or smell of smoking will incur a cleaning fee.

Have you had any Driving Convictions or Accidents in the last five years. Yes.....No.....

Insurance
Personal belongings are not covered, we recommend you do not leave valuables in the caravan,

Insurance Exclusions
The caravan is wilfully or recklessly damaged by the hirer or any other person named on this agreement of towing the caravan under the authority of the hirer, or is lost as a result of the wilful or reckless behaviour of the hirer or any such person.
Kiwiana caravan rentals will not be held responsible if the person named on the rental agreement wilfully or recklessly cause an accident, in the result of injuring or causing death. If the caravans can be proved to be  safe and roadworthy.

Mechanical repairs and Accidents
If the caravan is damaged or requires repair or salvage, whether because of an accident the hirer shall advise the owner as soon as possible within 24hrs. The hirer shall not take arrange or undertake any repairs without the authority of the owner except to the extent that the repairs or salvage are necessary to prevent further damage to the caravan or other property(you must contact us first).

What to do if the Caravan is in a Accident or Stolen
You must report the accident or theft or loss to us as soon as possible within 24hrs. If the police attend or if report is made to the police, obtain the name of police officer, and name of police station. If another vehicle is involved, obtain the name and address of the other vehicle driver, make model and registration number, their insurance company.
